Cast your mind back to the turn of the millennium. Y2K was about to cause chaos, Westlife were riding high in the UK charts and a new company was about to enter the world of embedded technology.
On 4th January 2000 Sarsen Technology began life in a small office above a shop in Marlborough, Wiltshire. Unfortunately, that was before we had smart phones and digital cameras, so there is little to no evidence of the questionable fashion or hairstyles sported by the Sarsen team at the turn of the century...
Our very first order in February 2000 was from Thomson Marconi (now Thales Underwater Systems) for an Analog Devices Blacktip PCI card, and 20 years later we’re talking to some of the UK's biggest prime manufacturers about a wide range of technology; from embedded single board computers and FPGA based solutions to rugged MIL-STD-1553 hardware and high performance computing COTS technology.
It’s certainly never boring…
The portfolio of manufacturers we represent has also changed over the years. Aside from allowing us to expand our product line, our carefully selected partners have given us the opportunity to support applications in new sectors. We now successfully supply a range of solutions into markets that we had very little experience of back in 2000, including financial trading and cyber security.
Great relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues have led to some great friendships too. Alongside the unique challenges that come with running a small business, there have been many opportunities to celebrate and share a lot of fun together over the last two decades.
We are extremely proud of our achievements over the last 20 years. Thank you to all Sarsen Technology staff, past and present, to all our loyal customers, and to the manufacturers we represent, for your highly valued support over the years.
We are really looking forward to the next exciting chapter in 2020!

13 Years A Sarsen Technology Employee...
13 years. That's a long time in anyone's book. 2004 doesn't seem that long ago, but lots has happened since then. Britney Spears got married, divorced, married and divorced again, Marvel released 36 movies, Roger Federer won Wimbledon 6 times and we all sat through six seasons of Lost. Was it a dream? Does anyone even care?
Here at Sarsen Technology the last 13 years have been pretty great, because we've been lucky enough to have had Lynn as part of the team.
Lynn is an integral part of the company, providing all the accounting and financial processes including invoicing and banking, but more importantly she looks after holiday administration and salaries! Lynn's input is essential to the smooth running of the office day to day.
The traditional gift for a thirteenth anniversary is lace, but we couldn't find anything suitable (or appropriate) so to celebrate this special anniversary we visited The Polly Tea Rooms for a spot of afternoon tea.
If you're ever in Marlborough we definitely recommend a visit. Their scones are some of the best we've ever had. And we eat a lot of cake...
Thank you Lynn for all your hard work and support over the last 13 years, we look forward to working with you for many more.
Best wishes,
Nigel, Angela,
Laura, Christos & Kevin.

Sarsen Technology Chistmas Party 2016 - The Jetty, Christchurch
It's that time of year again. The most wonderful time you might say...!
On Friday 9th December the entire Sarsen team made its way to Mudeford in Christchurch for a slap up meal of the highest calibre at The Jetty.
The Jetty is an award winning restaurant set right on the water's edge, serving fresh fish caught daily from Mudeford Quay, as well as seafood including local oysters, lobster and shrimps. Alex Aitken, the Chef Patron, is one of the South of England’s most respected chefs, and The Jetty has just been named Seafood Restaurant of the Year 2016.
The food was amazing, the staff were friendly and attentive and we all left feeling very fat and happy.
If you'd like to check out some of the pictures (we've kept the really bad ones hidden) you can see the gallery by clicking the button.

Meet the Sarsen Team!!
A
recurring thought when working with our partners round the globe is that it
would be great to be able to put a face to a name, especially when you’re
speaking to the same people every day.

Colleen Jameson – Colleen is our Office Administrator. She manages the day to day administration for the sales team to ensure things run smoothly, as well as all the business admin that goes on behind the scenes. She is first point of contact for our manufacturers and organises all of the events and exhibitions we attend. She is also organising our Christmas party this year, which is probably the most important job she will have to do in 2012!
Lynn
Scholefield – Lynn is our ‘numbers lady’. She is very popular with the team because
she arranges payment of salaries. She also has to channel her inner terrier to
chase up the overdue invoices and hound customers for payment! Lynn
juggles cash flows and foreign currency requirements, and analyses the many
pages of data that summarises how the company is doing financially.
